In the past, T.M.D has always welcomed runners to bring their children to run, hike, and connect with nature and the mountains, rewarding kids with finisher medals.

In 2025 T.M.D , I witnessed the children’s yearning for official results and their admiration for the top-ranking athletes receiving awards. I realized then that these children need something more. It also reminded me of a conversation years ago with an elder runner, who expressed a deep regret that podium honors had always been out of reach for him.

One of the key changes for the 2026 T.M.D will be the introduction of official timing for children and age-group awards for both our youngest and eldest runners. Through these accolades, we aim to encourage them and further ignite their passion for nature and trail running.
