Important Announcement from Off-Road Vehicle Manufacturers
Registration for the second FAFARWYG Cross-Country Race, originally scheduled for February 26-28, 2027 (or March 5-7), has been suspended and postponed.
Due to concerns from the event venue cooperating unit/hotel regarding the impact on other tourists and guests, and their repeated changes to the decision and requirements regarding moving the original indoor venue to the outdoor area for check-in, re-run, and post-race rest and dining, the event organizers felt that with the date approaching, they could not guarantee the experience that athletes should have received. After considering the feasibility of other alternative solutions for several days, it was found that these changes would be too drastic and would also contradict the event organizers' desire to provide the necessary services and experience for athletes (in short, to justify the registration fees). Therefore, it was unavoidable to postpone the 2026 event to 2027.
This year's registration opening has been delayed several times due to venue issues. While this has affected the number of registrants, it hasn't made it impossible to hold the event. However, given this situation, the organizers should cherish their reputation and be grateful to those who have registered (and those who haven't yet registered) for providing excellent service, rather than rushing into the event for profit. Furthermore, we would feel guilty and disappointed with the dedicated volunteers. Therefore, we ask for your understanding regarding this decision.
The partner for the 2027 collaboration is the Guguan Hot Spring Hotel. Both parties have reached a consensus on long-term cooperation and are awaiting the signing of a memorandum of understanding. (Due to the hotel being fully booked this year, we are unable to accommodate the collaboration.) We will guarantee the quality of service.
The organizing committee will send letters to each registered and paid participant to allow them to choose one of the following options.
1. Full refund
2. Race registration slots have been reserved for 2027. A 20% discount will be offered on registration fees for the 2027 Dadu Mountain Trail Running event on January 24th as a token of our gratitude.
Also, thank you to the volunteer friends who signed up and participated enthusiastically.
Finally, thank you to all the participants and volunteers who supported us. We look forward to the 2027 Falvik Trail Running Championships. And wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

The 2025 Trail Far Far Away event was more than just a promotion of mid-elevation mountain running in Taiwan; it carried a significant mission. With the added weight of being a WMTRC World Cup qualifier, Taiwan's elite runners gathered in the Wuping District of Taichung's Guguan to compete. The rise of a new generation of trail runners has turned a new page in Taiwan's over decade-long trail running history. Ultimately, an unprecedented number of 32 national team members were selected to participate in the WMTRC World Championships in September.
The 2026 Trail Far Far Away will return to the purity and promotional essence of trail running. Offering more accessible categories and schedules, we invite you to set aside all things urban and tread upon this land.
In the embrace of the mid-elevation mountains, feel the genuine breath; enjoy the connection between your steps and the earth. Go Far Far Away—seek the beautiful self lost in the hustle, yet waiting for reunion within the forest.
Away, father away
Leave the noise behind to find your inner self
Run farther, and farther still
Unleash the trail-running soul beneath the limits

Long-distance endurance racing is often not about chasing results or time, but a journey of self-dialogue that unfolds as you run further and further with time.
Whether enveloped by natural forests or surrounded by swirling mist, the eyes behold the scenery, while the heart reflects the raw reality, vulnerability, and courage that cannot be hidden deep within the soul.
This category offers the ultimate experience for seasoned long-distance trail runners: an exceptional yet adequately timed challenge to conquer the "Four Heroes of Guguan." The course connects Mt. Wuwoowei via the Wu-Dong Traverse to the 360-degree views of Mt. Dongmao, crosses the Dafullan Trail to Mt. Tangmadan, and culminates in the final, notoriously steep challenge of Mt. Bojingjia in the latter stages of the race.

Mt. Bojingjia is the fourth-ranked peak of the "Seven Heroes of Guguan." The trail was formerly a utility maintenance road, and old power poles remain visible. Its name reportedly comes from the Taiwanese dialect for "the slope is very steep."
This race will use a time trial mode: participants start sequentially to prevent bottlenecks. The start list is prioritized by ITRA PI (Performance Index); those without a PI will be assigned a random start time.
